How we check prices

ColoradoDumpFees.com lists every public landfill, transfer station and drop-off we can find in Colorado, starting from the state health department's facility list and adding private sites the state list misses.

For each site we read the official county, city or company page and record the posted prices, hours and rules, with a link to the source and the date we checked. When a site doesn't post prices, we say so instead of guessing. Estimates in the cost finder assume a car load of about 150 lb and a pickup load of about 500 lb where a site charges by weight.

We are not affiliated with any landfill, hauler or government agency. Prices change without notice, and the gate or scale always has the final say.
